Gold Strike employees help battle food insecurity
TUNICA — Driven by a commitment to its Play for Change initiative, Gold Strike Casino Resort volunteered its time and support to battle food insecurity
in early 2026.
Team members
volunteered at the
Mid-South Food
Bank packing and
sorting food for
the thousands of
families that the
food distributor
serves every year. The casino resort amplified that support through a $7,000 donation.
Thanks to Play for Change, which allows guests to drop unused slot vouchers into designated boxes on the gaming floor, Gold Strike was also able to donate $7,000 to Sacred Heart Southern Missions. The Catholic ministry provides services like food assistance, clothing, housing, education and more.
“These donations are deeply meaningful for us. Seeing our team come together to serve and support is the real difference-maker in our community,” said Alfredo Jaramillo, senior vice president and general manager of Gold Strike Casino Resort. “Putting in the work is our way of saying thank you.”
Mardi Gras Bead Recycling
Beau Rivage’s Corporate Responsibility Council hosted a Mardi Gras bead recycling drive. Employees donated more than 400 pounds of the colorful Mardi Gras beads to the Mississippi Aquarium, which, in turn, worked with nonprofit
groups to clean, repair, and repurpose the beads for the next Mardi Gras season. Mississippi Aquarium Marketing Director Nicole Martz accepted the beads.
