Treat Dad to a special Father’s Day meal
MISSISSIPPI — Dads are a hearty bunch who love a hearty meal. That is why chefs at your favorite casinos are working hard to prepare meals perfect for all those celebrating Father’s Day. From buffet meals, to lunch specials and fine dining specialties, guests are certain to find something special to eat. Remember, Father’s Day is Sunday, June 15, but some of the specials are also available on Saturday, June 14.

menu in the Jubilee Buffet ($49.95) on June 15. Favorites
will be available from 11 a.m. to
9 p.m., with a Champagne brunch served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Along with the complete buffet offerings, the special holiday menu features prime rib, crab and jumbo shrimp.
Or dine in the Blue Bayou
Bar & Grill, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.,
where a special appetizer and entree will be available. Start the meal with chargrilled oysters Rockefeller (18.95), fresh oysters topped with spinach, bacon and Parmesan then chargrilled to perfection. The holiday entree is a 24-ounce smoked cowboy ribeye with charred Vidalia onion butter ($72.95).
The ribeye is cold smoked with pecan wood and then grilled and topped with a slab of melting charred onion- and-herb butter. It comes served with loaded mashed potatoes and charred broccolini. The regular brunch menu is also available.
Harrah’s Gulf Coast
Celebrate Dad with a cowboy ribeye and smoked Old Fashioned, available Friday and Saturday, June 13-14, during
dinner service at Magnolia House inside Harrah’s Gulf Coast. This is a bold meal for the boldest guy you know.

Make Father’s Day weekend memorable at Island View Casino Resort with dining specials at C&G Grille and Carter Green Steak House. The specials are available Saturday and Sunday, June 14-15. Guests must be 21 or older.
Treat Dad to a celebratory meal at C&G Grille from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Start the three-course meal ($25) with
a choice of Caesar salad or seafood gumbo. Then let Dad choose between crispy
fried ribs with J. Lee’s Gourmet barbecue sauce or shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. Crème brulé-filled pastry is the sweet
ending to this meal. Carter Green Steakhouse, also located inside Island View, will be serving up what Dad likes from 5 to 10 p.m. Start the three-course meal ($55) with a choice of soup of the day or mixed green crown salad. Then choose between a 12-ounce Black Jack Ranch American wagyu New York Strip or grilled yellowfin tuna steak with ginger soy butter sauce. Both are served with julienned fresh vegetables and choice of potato. The finale is a
crème brulé-filled pastry.
Scarlet Pearl Casino
Under the Oak Cafe at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort has a Father’s Day special. Spoil Dad with the shrimp and ribs platter — fried Gulf shrimp and a half rack of smoked ribs. The meal ($39) comes with loaded potato salad, seasoned fries and smoke house beans. And for dessert, there is the old fashioned chocolate pie ($14). The pie has a flaky, buttery crust with creamy chocolate filling and is topped with sweetened cream and chocolate shavings.
