Race at Hard Rock for Xtra Credit, cash
BILOXI — After the holidays, sometimes a good race is needed — especially when the race leads to thousands in cash and Xtra Credit prizes. It is the $100,000 Great Points Race at Hard Rock Biloxi, with players earning points now through the end of January.
Players club members can receive points daily through casino play. Get extra points on select days throughout the month, including 10-times points every Monday and Tuesday through Jan. 27 and 20-times points every Friday and Saturday until 3 p.m. on Jan. 31.
The Get Your Motor Running Early Sweepstakes, featuring 110 winners getting up to $500 in Xtra Credit, takes place Friday, Jan. 30, from 6 to 11 p.m. These players will win a share of $25,000 in Xtra Credit.
During the Great Points Race Finale on Saturday, Jan. 31, the top 400 point earners will receive a share of up to $75,000 cash and Xtra Credit. The top 10 point earners in each category will be announced at 6 p.m. at the Lobby Booth.
And for more chances to win, second-chance bonus drawings take place later Jan. 31 at 8:30 p.m. Activate entries by swiping at any Rock Box kiosk or by carding into any slot machine. Sixteen winners will be selected to receive $500 Xtra Credit.

Poker action heats up
BILOXI — Poker action returns to Beau Rivage in January with The Beau Rivage Heater featuring more than $5.5 million in guaranteed prize pools and 87 tables. Taking place Jan. 7-Jan. 19, the event is a poker player’s tournament dream. The action begins Thursday, Jan. 7, with a $400 buy-in $300,000 guaranteed prize pool, and wraps up with a $1,200 buy-in $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool Main Event, Jan. 15-Jan. 19.
There are 12 tournament events and multiple satellites, with buy-ins ranging from $300 to $2,000. Featured during the Heater are daily events with exciting game formats, including No Limit Hold’em and Limit Omaha 8 or Better.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. Jan. 7, and is held daily two hours prior to each tournament on the Beau Rivage convention level. Players can book hotel reservations by calling (888) 567-6667.
