‘Grease’ is the word at Beau Rivage
BILOXI — Get ready to shout “A-wop-bop-a-loo- bop, a-wop-bam-boom,” as Beau Rivage welcomes the hit Broadway musical Grease to the Gulf Coast. Based on the iconic film of the same name, the rock ‘n’ roll musical comes to the Beau Rivage Theatre for a limited 18-show engagement, June 12 through June 29.
The four-time Tony Award-nominated production is a story of teenage love, heartbreak, friendship and coming of age. The show features
legendary music,
including the Academy
Award-nominated song
“Hopelessly Devoted to
You,” as well as “Grease”
and “You’re the One
That I Want,” both of
which were No. 1 hits on
the Billboard Top 100
list. These songs will be
heard in addition to the
Jacobs/Casey songs made
famous by the original
stage production, including “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and “We Go Together.”
Through world-renowned music, performed with a live band, and high-energy choreography, Grease the Musical celebrates 1950s youth culture, rebellion, love, and special bonds between friends. Throw your mittens around your kittens and hand jive the night away with the show that will make you want to sing along and dance in your seats.
“I am thrilled to continue bringing Broadway to the Beau,” said Rand Productions President and Executive Producer Jeb K. Rand. “With the success of Footloose and Elf last year, I’m truly excited about the theatrical experience that Grease the Musical is going to deliver to the Gulf Coast.”
Grease the Musical can be seen Thursdays through Sundays, June 12-June 29, with shows at 7 p.m. nightly. On Saturdays and Sundays, there is also a 2 p.m. matinee. Tickets are $25, $30, $35 and $40. Family packages of four tickets start at $60 using the code SUMMERNIGHTS and family four packs are also available for $80 using the code THEWORD. A limited number of VIP packages, which include a post-show cast meet and greet, commemorative cast photo with the iconic Grease Lightnin’ car and exclusive swag, are $44 per person and are available at each performance using the offer code GREASEDLIGHTNIN’. Tax and service charges are added to all ticket prices.
