DOWNTOWNS economic and social prosperity
Moss Point
From the water’s edge to the leading edge
As the Chief Economic Developer for the City
of Moss Point, Mayor Mario King is driving outcome-based, results-oriented leadership across all city sectors to rejuvenate and spur the
momentum of Moss Point’s economic and social prosperity. He has recruited seven new car dealerships that will make
Moss Point the premier location to purchase vehicles. With a bed tax on hotels to increase revenues in economic development, Mayor King devoted his time to selling all vacant hotel properties. A city that was once plagued with disparities is now seeing changes for the better.
The up-and-coming city offers a family-friendly environment with a distinctive mix of business and residential neighborhoods, waterfront and natural amenities, diversity of employment options, and evolving culture of food, music, art, athletics, and recreation.
The city is booming with new and better jobs, giving its residents a better quality of life.
From a business standpoint, Moss Point is an open market position, located strategically between Mobile, Alabama and D’Iberville, Mississippi. The city has availability
for low-cost property acquisition and several unmet
needs, including in areas such as automotive dealerships, grocery and specialty food stores, homebuilding products, healthcare services and solutions, outdoor recreation and nature-based tourism, and convenience retail.
“We’re looking for partners in our vision to Rejuvenate Moss Point,” says Mayor King. “By making public and private investments — the largest in the city’s history — we’re making Moss Point a city of choice to live, work, play, visit, and invest. As a premier waterfront community, we offer a high quality of life and career potential.”
