But who does it better?
A little bit of background here – the companies behind Mugshots and Glory Bound, Chers Restaurant Group and Ain’t Life Grand Investments, were once a liated with owners Ron Savell and Chris McDonald co-founding the Mugshots brand in 2004. The two went their separate ways in 2008, but it’s fair to say that the comeback sauce recipe between the two brands is pretty similar if not the same. As a result, I’ll be evaluating the composition of each sandwich as opposed to the sauce itself. And with that little disclaimer out
of the way, let’s get started!
First up, Cli ’s Comeback Burger. Stacked with hickory
smoked bacon, melted pepper jack cheese, comeback sauce, red onion, lettuce, tomato, and a golden-fried onion ring, this burger is a behemoth. Like, I-cut-it-in-half huge.
One of my favorite things about Mugshots burgers is the patty itself. Each one is a half pound of certi ed angus beef and has the perfect amount of char on the outside – crispy but doesn’t taste burnt. You know what I’m talking about. Owner Ron Savell is quick to point out that it’s “all about the

It’s the battle of the comeback foods! In one corner, Cli ’s Comeback Burger from Mugshots. In the other, the Comeback Gyro from Glory Bound Gyro Co. Both feature a comeback sauce, which is traditionally made with a mayonnaise base and a combination of chili sauce, ketchup, lemon juice and spices. Whatever way you mix it, this stu  is GOOD.
