GULF COAST ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®
We want the community to know that our REALTORS® are more and do more than just
make sales. They are local neighbors, business owners, advocates for property rights and civic volunteers who all care about the communities they live in, and they work hard to see them thrive. For the past several years, the Gulf Coast Association of REALTORS® (GCAR) has hosted the Annual Beer and Wine Festival with all proceeds bene ting local charities. This year we chose the R.O.C.K. Foundation or Resilience of Coast Kids, Inc. as the recipient. This is a special charity that trys to make a difference in the lives of innocent children who have been a victim of abuse or neglect. The focus of the R.O.C.K. Foundation is to help children nd homes and to meet their basic needs. We are grateful to be able to give them almost $15,000 from this year’s fundraiser! This wouldn’t be possible without the support from our sponsors, our volunteers, and all that participated in the event.

ABOUT THE
Resilience of Coast Kids, Inc. aka The “R.O.C.K.” is a local group of concerned volunteers who are trying
to make a difference in the lives of innocent children who have been a victim of abuse or neglect. Many of these children have been taken from their homes for various reasons and placed in the home of a stranger or
the local shelter. They are afraid, confused, and in need of love, care, and nurturing. The children’s ages range from newborn to 18 years.
The main focus of the R.O.C.K. Foundation is to help children find home and to meet their basic needs. We let them know that there are people out there who care about them. The children from the woman’s abuse
center, going into foster homes or family placements come with nothing but the clothes on their backs. It truly takes a village to raise a child. These Children need our help!
The R.O.C.K. has no paid staff. We, the volunteers believe all of your donation should go for the children
as intended. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated. Other needed Items include beds, dressers, diapers, baby items, food, school supplies, lice shampoo, toiletries — anything a child
could need. Most of the volunteers that serve on the R.O.C.K. Board of Directors have full time jobs and families which makes it difficult to host fundraisers. We rely on donations to fulfill our mission. Please help us help them. We serve clients from Child Protection Services, CASA, Gulf Coast Woman’s Center for Non Violence, Homeless Coalition, advocates for Freedom (human trafficking) local
law enforcement, Canopy Children’s solutions and many other partnering agencies.
