Have you ever stared down at a plate of broccoli and just been mad at it? I know I have. Making a meal simultaneously healthy and delicious can be a challenge, but luckily, Chef Lauren Turner Christy has dared to defy the odds and is bringing some incredible and nutritious dishes to the Coast.

Chef Christy has long been a fan of plant-based cooking. Not to be confused with vegan or vegetarian diets, plant-based meals encompass a multitude of food sources to include dairy and protein with the primary focus on choosing food from plant- based sources.
She originally began serving vegan tacos at local farmers markets with nothing but a tent and a folding
table. Today, she runs her own café and kitchen housed within the Ohr- O’Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi. Her goal is to change the mentality surrounding plant-based diets as she wants people to learn to appreciate plant-based meals while not being afraid of trying something new. Taking into consideration a number of dietary needs and requests, Chef Christy’s inventive style is bringing
