to weddings. According to Chris Owen, owner of Lemon Tree Flower Shop, it’s the flowers that make the biggest statement. “Flowers are so important in a wedding because as the bride walks down the
aisle, the flowers are what are accenting her view,” said Owen. “As she’s walking towards her future husband, she’s carrying a bouquet and walking down an aisle decorated with flowers. Chances are, her groom is also wearing a boutonniere. All

“Flowers make the wedding and they should have a certain amount of shock factor,” Owen continued. “It could be pouring down rain outside, but with the right flowers a wedding can’t help but be beautiful and vibrant inside.”
As a designer, Owen has a knack for pinpointing what a bride is envisioning and bringing that vision to life. “All you need to do is bring your colors, a good attitude and an open mind,” he said. “Whoever provides the flowers for your wedding, let them be the creative ones. That’s what you’re paying them for! They’re going to know what’s available in each season and be able to make you something beautiful that will perfectly accent your big day.”
