With Dominique Patton as the event chair, this year’s Chefs of the Coast will have a food truck corral set up with a beer garden featuring local brews. “We are also having the first Culinary Gladiator Battle, a mystery basket cooking competition to take place among local chefs during the event,” Patton said.
For the third year there will be a High School Cooking Competition with local high school culinary programs invited to participate. The winning team receives a cash stipend to support the school’s program, and all schools receive cash stipends for participating.
Tickets are $55 for general admission, $65 for VIPs and may be purchased at ticketmaster.com or the Coliseum box office.

Julie Capdeville with LLS says the Light the Night Walk helps bring light to the darkness of cancer. “During Light the Night, friends, families and co- workers will come together to celebrate, honor,
and remember those touched by blood cancer,” she added. “Money raised during the campaign will fund life-saving cancer research and patient support. An estimated 1,540 people in Mississippi will be diagnosed with a blood cancer this year. An estimated 510 people in Mississippi will pass away from a blood cancer this year.”
