— Chas Pierce
Always take the leap.
Faces of Memorial Hospital
Meet Chas Pierce, VP, Regional Business and System Development. Part of the management team at Memorial Hospital, Chas Pierce always knew he wanted to be in healthcare. “When I got my rst job out of college, I looked at my boss and said ‘that’s what I want to do.’ So I went back to college and got my masters in Public Health, with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration.”
He loves what he’s doing and knowing that he’s part of something bigger than himself; that “what we do at Memorial is making a di erence.”
Born in Hattiesburg, Pierce relocated to the Coast in 2011, saying it’s one of the best decisions of his life. “I love the location because it’s close to many wonderful things to do.”
He says close friends would describe him as energetic, personable, and stubborn.
“I grew up in the woods of Forrest County. My family has a construction business, building sawmills,” he says. “I always had a passion for build- ing or doing things with my hands. My father is an awesome wood worker, and I’m trying to learn as much as I can from him.”
In both his work and personal life, Pierce’s goal is to make a di erence and to never stop growing and learning. He’s the father of Mason, 15, Mackenize, 11, and Keller, 5, plus two Labradors Molly and Ginger.
