“I love the people and my hometown roots.”
— Dr. Bernard Keenum

Meet Dr. Bernard Keenum. Born to a Navy veteran from Moss Point and an educator from Barcelona, Dr. Keenum grew up on the Coast and played college foot- ball. He returned home and, like many, worked at the shipyard for a time.
“I have nothing but respect for the hardworking men and women in industry, as well as athletes. I decided to pursue a career in chiropractic because of the seeds that had been planted early in my life. Watching my father’s debilitating back problems and him deal so valiantly with his pain and issues caused me to have a passion for what would help him and others like him live a more comfortable life,” he says. “I like the feeling of seeing someone relieved of pain and enjoying activities they had given up or thought they would never be able to do again.”
At 6’6,” some patients may be intimidated by his size, however, Dr. Keenum takes a gentle approach to match each patients’ needs and comfort.
He and his wife have several projects that God has put on their hearts to support, including a village in Uganda. “We are blessed to be a blessing.” They have ve won- derful children and a beautiful grandson.
In order to serve more patients, Southern Regional Chiropractic will be opening a new Gautier/Ocean Springs location in early 2021.
