Cool Eating at Agua
Treasure Bay’s Agua is a cool place to be this summer with hot specials, including boiled crawfish and tasty tacos. Located on the upper level of the pool deck, Agua serves up crawfish platters each Saturday through June 17 with an additional day on Father’s Day, June 18. The platters feature crawfish, smoked sausage, boiled potatoes and corn on the cob for $18. Starting June 24, enjoy tacos — mahi (pictured), chicken or shrimp — with fries for $18. Chips and salsa are available as the side, as well. Happy hour is daily from 5 to 7 p.m. Agua is located on the upper level of the pool deck and is open daily 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
products sourced as locally as possible. And, while all Bubba Gump restaurants (and there are several across the country) have basically the same menu, it is a testament to the hard-working chefs at the Biloxi restaurant that some of their recipes are being used at other locations.
Now, the restaurant may
have shrimp in its name, but
it was the oysters that caught
our attention. Never frozen
and always hand-shucked, the
plump oysters are prepared in a variety of ways, including charbroiled over an open flame and basted with a New Orleans- style smoky Cajun sauce then topped with Parmesan cheese. Those were delicious as were the signature oysters charbroiled with a little white wine, butter, garlic and herb sauce. Get a sampler platter of some of each and be sure to use the toasted bread for sopping up all the extra sauce. Or, go for the oysters on the half shell with some of the tasty and tangy horseradish cocktail sauce. There are also fried oysters, which come as an appetizer, a full meal and even

Bubba Gump diners will find seafood — the menu is filled with shrimp, fish and oyster dishes — and so much more, including ribs, steaks and chicken. Everything is prepared fresh, right down to stocks and sauces, with

The blackened seasoning gave just the right push to the mild flavor of the fish, and the pineapple pico de gallo was the perfect
