mushrooms, crushed tomatoes and pepper flakes and tossed in a creamy vodka sauce. The dish’s flavors are further heightened with shaved prosciutto, basil and grated Romano cheese.
The bone-in pork chop, another top selection we were happy to try, had a terrific salty-sweet taste as the 14-ounce chop is brined in brown sugar before cooking and then served with a thick bourbon-pecan glaze with oven-roasted baby heirloom carrots.
A new Jackpot! favorite dish is the Thai lobster curry scallops, which adds another level of taste to Scarlet’s with its Asian influence and buttery-smooth large scallops. The dish features three pan-seared scallops and sautéed lobster on a crispy sushi rice cake topped with pickled sweet peppers. A velvety Thai coconut curry sauce ties
everything together and gives the dish its delightful taste.
Along with Maine lobster, seafood selections at the restaurant include Alaskan king crab legs, New Zealand salmon and the fresh fish of the day.
Scarlet’s also serves a
wealth of side dishes, which
can be shared by those at
the table or as an indulgent
serving for one. The candied
sweet potato casserole,
smoked Gouda mac and
cheese, crab mac and cheese, duck fat fries and cream spinach are just a few of the offerings. And, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention
the fantastic rolls, crackers and breads given to diners after they are seated.
Desserts made at
the in-house bakery
provide the perfect
sweet bite to the end
of the meal. The
extra-thick, extra-tasty pecan pie and the strawberry fruit galette topped with rich vanilla ice cream are must-tries, but any dessert is the perfect treat to end a wonderful Scarlet’s meal.
Scarlet’s also has a full selection of wines and cocktails, and features a bar both inside

and outside the restaurant, where guests can enjoy a pre-meal aperitif or an after dinner drink. Live music can be enjoyed
at various times. On a recent Wednesday night, we had the pleasure of listening to the talented Hank Berumen while we dined.
Boasting delicious food and top-notch service, Scarlet’s
Steaks & Seafood is an ideal place for a special event with friends, date night or a quiet dinner out. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Saturday, 5 to 10 p.m., and Sundays for brunch, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling (888) PLAY-SPC or visiting opentable.com.
