Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort
At Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort, Easter specials in the newly remodeled Under The Oak Cafe include Cajun deviled eggs (six stuffed boiled eggs with Creole cream cheese, Louisiana hot sauce and candied bacon crumbles, $10) and orange-glazed ham ($25) with corn pudding, potatoes and lemon-garlic asparagus. Plus, “no-bunny” will want to miss the scratch kitchen carrot cake ($10) with house-made cream cheese frosting.
Scarlet’s Steaks & Seafood has the layered carrot cake ($10) for desserts,
and for entrées, select pistachio
and mint-crusted lamb ($55) with
saffron couscous and heirloom
carrots or try the curried pan-seared
halibut ($45) that has a garam-masala
glaze, colossal blue crab meat, whipped parsnips and snap peas. Reservations are recommended and can be made by visiting opentable.com.
Island View Casino Resorts
Celebrate all things spring at Island View Casino Resorts on Easter with specials in The Buffet, C&G Grille and Dockside Deli. Guests must be at least 21.
The Buffet, located inside Island View Casino, has bountiful holiday offerings,
including shrimp and artichoke soup, cheddar omelets topped with asparagus tips and hollandaise sauce, Creole seafood gumbo, Polynesian turkey salad, and green pea and ham salad. Also included is slow- smoked pork macaroni and cheese, bacon- wrapped smoked chicken a la orange, sliced lamb roast with mint apple salsa jus, Creole- boiled large gulf shrimp with remoulade, fried green tomatoes Ponchartrain, maple- glazed ham and roasted round of beef.
The Easter menu, available from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for $19.99 per person, will be served along with the daily favorites from The Buffet’s multi-station selections.
Of course, don’t forget the dessert,
with the area’s largest selection of hand-made cakes, ice
creams and gelatos.
Guests can also hop over
to C&G Grille, also located inside Island View, for an Easter meal for brunch, lunch or dinner. The three-course menu starts with a choice of gulf shrimp salad stuffed tomato or green salad with choice of dressing, followed by either grilled tenderloin beef medallions with Bearnaise sauce or crispy fried jumbo soft-shell crab with crawfish cream sauce, both served with green beans amandine. And for dessert, there is an option of either carrot cake or chocolate cake. The C&G Grille special is available from 10:30 a.m. to
9 p.m. for $26 per person.
And in Beach View Casino, Dockside
Deli gets into the swing of the season with a special Easter meal. The menu starts with the choice of house soup or beet and citrus salad. The entrée course offers either fried gulf oyster remoulade salad or Creole shrimp and Tasso grits, both served with griddled garlic French bread. The Dockside Deli special is available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for $17.
Silver Slipper Casino Hotel
Easter dining at Silver Slipper Casino Hotel includes a special brunch and full- course meal. In the Jubilee Buffet enjoy a
champagne brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Prime rib, crab and shrimp will be available along with the regular menu served until 9 p.m. The meal
is $49.95 all day.
And in the Blue Bayou Bar &
Grill, the Easter special features lamb shank ($62) with Parisian potatoes, spring pea ragout with morels and finished with gremolata, a zesty herb sauce. The special is offered 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular brunch menu items are also available. WaterView Casino Hotel
