And in The Roasted Bean, the featured cupcake of the month is chocolate-covered strawberry with a special heart-shaped chocolate mousse cake offered the week of Valentine’s Day, Feb. 12 through Feb. 18. Located in the resort’s retail promenade, The Roasted Bean offers patio-style seating and is open daily at 5:30 a.m., closing at 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Palace Casino Resort
Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Palace Casino Resort where both the Palace Buffet and Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood have special meals. In the buffet, the traditional menu featuring prime rib and all the favorites from the Grill, Comfort, Wok and Coastal stations will be offered. There will also be a variety of
delicious desserts.
The holiday buffet is served from 11
a.m. to 9 p.m. for $33 with players club card ($35 without).
In Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood, a Valentine’s dinner for two ($130 per couple/$70 individual) will be offered from
5 to 10 p.m. Start the meal with a choice of a Valentine’s salad featuring beets, candied pecans, Chevre and Champagne vinaigrette or a potato and leek soup with crème fraiche. The main course is filet mignon topped with Gulf shrimp, black truffle cream and asparagus tips. And the shared dessert is a dark chocolate cheesecake.

Drinks At Blue Bayou Bar
Make Valentine’s Day special with drinks before dinner at Silver Slipper Casino Hotel’s Blue Bayou Bar & Grill. Lemon drops and chocolate martinis (below) are just two of the holiday favorites, especially as the chocolate martini comes complete with a chocolate-covered strawberry. Bartender Jessica Cochran shows her creativity when putting together new drink recipes for special events and occasions, and her regular customers know her service is second to none. And along with drinks, guests can get appetizers, including oysters on the half shell (below right), and dessert at the bar, which is located in front of the Blue Bayou dining room.
