Horseshoe welcomes Aaron Lewis
Singer and his band, The Stateliners, to perform July 19
TUNICA — Aaron Lewis & The Stateliners will perform at Horseshoe Tunica’s Bluesville Showcase Nightclub in the “American As It Gets Tour” on Saturday, July 19.
Aaron Lewis, born April 13, 1972, transitioned from fronting the alternative metal band Staind to become a big outlaw country artist.
Staind had several charting songs, with notable hits including “It’s Been Awhile,” which peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 20 weeks at number one on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
Aaron’s big break in country came
with the 2011 EP Town Line, which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, driven by the platinum-certified single “Country Boy,” featuring George Jones and Charlie Daniels.
Lewis, influenced by his grandfather’s love for Merle Haggard and reignited by touring with Kid Rock in 1999,
released his first full-length solo album, The Road, in 2012.
Subsequent albums Sinner (2016) and Frayed at Both Ends (2022) cemented his status, with Sinner reaching No. 1, featuring a duet with Willie Nelson. His 2024 release, The Hill, topped iTunes charts. Hits like “Am I The Only One,” a No. 1 country single, and “Tangled Up in You” showcase his introspective songwriting.
Known for raw, acoustic live performances, Lewis connects deeply with audiences. Last year’s
American Patriot Tour highlighted his
conservative viewpoints, resonating with a dedicated fanbase. Lewis’ authentic storytelling
ensures his enduring popularity in country music.

The Grits & Glamour Tour at Silver Star
CHOCTAW — See The Grits & Glamour Tour with Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan at Pearl River Resort’s Silver Star Convention Center on Saturday, June 28.
Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan, daughters of country legends Mel Tillis and George Morgan, have carved their own paths in country music.
Tillis, born July 24, 1957, released 14 albums, with 12 Top 10 singles like “Maybe It Was Memphis” and “Shake The Sugar Tree.” She earned Grammy and CMA awards and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2022. Morgan, born June 27, 1959, debuted with three consecutive platinum albums: Leave the Light On (1989), Something in Red (1991), and Watch Me (1992). Her 14 Top 10 hits include No. 1s “Five Minutes” and “What Part of No.”
In 2013, inspired by shared Opry performances, the duo launched the Grits and Glamour Tour, a nostalgic nod to ‘90s country. Their collaborative albums Dos Divas (2013) and Come See Me and Come Lonely (2017) fueled sold-out shows.
Pearl River Resort hosts Pam Tillis & Lorrie Morgan.
The tour’s intimate format—blending hits, harmonies, and humorous banter—resonates with fans, often selling out venues. Their chemistry and authentic storytelling have sustained a 15-year run, cementing their two-woman shows as a beloved staple in country music.
