Island View restaurants
GULFPORT — There are many
flavors of October: crisp apples,
roasted butternut, sweet potatoes,
cranberries and a little bit of magic.
That magic turns those flavors
into dinner specials found at two
restaurants at Island View Casino
Resort.
At Carter Green Steakhouse,
located inside Island View, there
is a three-course special offered all
month long. Start the meal with
an autumn wedge salad of iceberg
lettuce, blue cheese, apples, red
onions, pecans, roasted butternut
squash and crispy bacon bits.
The entree is a savory grilled
special reserve center cut pork chop
A center cut pork chop is the star of the October
special found at Carter Green Steakhouse, while
(below) Chilean salmon topped with honey-pecan
sauce is the feature entree at Prime Cut.
served over Swiss chard and topped
with a cranberry port sauce. Save room
for dessert: a sweet potato crème brûlée
made with local sweet potatoes infused
with Carter Green’s classic crème brûlée
recipe and torched with brown sugar.
This special is served Thursday
through Monday, 5 to 10 p.m., for $45
per person.
