‘Fluffy’ Iglesias at Silver Star Casino
TUNICA — See Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Saturday, August 15, at Silver Star
Convention Center at Silver Star Hotel & Casino. Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias is one
of the most beloved and successful stand-up comedians in the world, renowned
for his high-energy storytelling, spot-on impressions, sound effects, and relatable
humor drawn from his Mexican-American upbringing, family life, and personal
experiences.
His comedy often revolves around self-deprecating bits on weight—famously
outlining the “five levels of fatness” (Big, Healthy, Husky, Fluffy, and “DAMN!”)
in routines like those from Hot and Fluffy—alongside hilarious tales of road
trips, food, relationships, and cultural observations. Signature specials include I’m
Not Fat… I’m Fluffy (2009), Hot and Fluffy, Aloha Fluffy (2013), and Netflix
hits I’m Sorry for What I Said When I Was Hungry (2016), One Show Fits All
(2019), Stadium Fluffy (2022)—where he became the first comedian to sell out
Dodger Stadium—and Legend of Fluffy (2025). Iglesias has released multiple
comedy albums and hosted shows like Stand Up Revolution and Fluffy’s Food
Adventures. On screen, he starred in the Netflix sitcom Mr. Iglesias, appeared in
Magic Mike films, and voiced characters in Space Jam: A New Legacy.

See leader of a traditional country music revival on Sept. 12
TUNICA — See country music
star Charley Crockett at Horseshoe
Tunica on Saturday, September 12.
Charley Crockett is a Texas-born
country, blues, and roots musician
known for his authentic “Gulf
& Western” sound that blends
classic country, soul, blues, Cajun,
and vintage Americana influences.
With a husky, soulful voice and a
rebellious, old-school style, he has
emerged as a leading figure in the
revival of traditional country music,
earning Grammy nominations and
critical acclaim for his storytelling
Charley Crockett
and raw honesty.
Born Matthew Charles Crockett on March 24, 1984, in
San Benito, Texas, he grew up in the Rio Grande Valley
and later Irving. At 17, he left home with a pawn-shop
guitar, teaching himself to play and write songs. He lived
an itinerant life, busking on the streets of New Orleans’
French Quarter, Deep Ellum in Dallas, New York City
subways, and beyond—hitchhiking,
riding freight trains, and facing
hardships that shaped his music.
He self-released his debut album A
Stolen Jewel in 2015 after years on
the road.
Crockett has released nearly 17
studio albums in about a decade,
including standouts like The Man from
Waco (2022), $10 Cowboy (2024), Music
City USA, Welcome to Hard Times, and
recent works such as Lonesome Drifter.
Popular songs include “Jamestown
Ferry,” “Welcome to Hard Times,”
“The Man from Waco,” “$10
Cowboy,” “I Am Not Afraid,” and
“Hard Luck & Circumstances,” which highlight his themes
of hardship, love, and resilience.
