What would you like our readers to know about your business? I
am a full-time real estate agent, who specializes in residential sales, working with both sellers and buyers. Real estate is a passion of mine and negotiating for my clients is what I do best. I work for the most amazing real estate company on the Gulf Coast, Coldwell Banker Alfonso Realty. Carlene Alfonso’s family has been in real estate for more than 57 years. What an amazing history that is, especially for our Gulf Coast, and now I get to say I’m part of that history too.
What do you like best about what you do? I get to meet and help so many incredible people from all walks of life, and with that, I learn something new all the time. My job truly is so rewarding.
What sets your business apart from others in the same field? I am a very caring person by nature, so I like to approach my clients on a more personal level; they’re like my family. I’m also a little “animated
worker bee” as Carlene calls me, so I like to bring joy and fun into the process to put my clients more at ease. Buying and selling can be pretty stressful. When the hard, difficult moments come, I like to
say to them, “When this is finished, we’re going to have a big laugh”- and we always do. After the closing and they say to me, “We couldn’t have done it without you,” my heart explodes with happiness and pride. That’s what it’s all about.
Tell us about one valuable lesson you learned along the way: Every job has its share of negativity and real estate is no exception. I’ve learned you can’t let that negativity affect your core. Nobody can
take your joy, nobody. You really do have to shake it off and keep moving forward.
Is there anything you would like to change to make the Gulf Coast better? Absolutely NOTHING, we just don’t know how blessed we are to live here.
