What do you like best about what you do? We love knowing we found the right person for our clients. We love to hear that our employees
are an “awesome” fit and that our employees love to go to work. It’s like a puzzle for us, there is the right employee out there for everyone and we try to find that person.

I feel very fortunate to have
the opportunity to work at the Redding House, a beautiful Biloxi landmark with more than a hundred years of history and memorable occasions. We are a full service event venue built in 1908 and occupied by the Redding Family more than 90 years. Growing up in Biloxi I always admired the house, but never thought I would have the opportunity to work with so many special events there. Event planning and the hospitality industry have always been a part of my life.

Poppy’s, Owner
922 Washington Ave., Ocean Springs, MS 228.872.8584
I am originally from Washington State. My husband Steve Jones introduced me to his hometown over 20 years ago and I fell in love with it; both the weather and the people. When the time was right, we moved our young family to Ocean Springs. That was over 15 years ago and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
I owned a shop similar to Poppy’s in Washington which I named after my boys, The Duke-Allen Company, and have always been happiest being creative and making people happy. I purchased Poppy’s from it’s founders Ellen and John Ray (Poppy)
Vaughan seven years ago. Poppy’s celebrated a 10 year anniversary this past spring and I am very proud to own a gift business in downtown Ocean Springs and to enjoy the friendships that have been created with the other downtown merchants.
Poppy’s offers a wide variety of items, from gourmet goodies and fine gifts to original artwork from many of our area’s talented artists; all at prices to fit anyone’s budget. My staff is always friendly and eager to please, we go out of our way to make your search for that perfect something a great experience.
