What do you like best about what you do? I have a passion to help others change or modify their lives into healthier lives by teaching
them simple and repeatable natural approaches that will aid in making lifestyle changes that will stick.
I also love providing corporate wellness services because I am able to directly help local businesses educate their employees about
the import role that health and nutrition plays in their personal and work lives. In my mind, there is no greater gift imaginable than helping others achieve optimal health and wellness. I teach them what they “can do,” not what they “can’t do.” The greatest wealth is Health!!

What would you like our readers to know about your business? A mother’s milk is the optimal nutrition for her full-term, healthy baby. Research states that babies who receive a mother’s milk are healthier, have a higher IQ, decreased risk of many cancers and are less likely to become obese over their lifetime. Gulf Coast Breastfeeding Center (GCBC) provides lactation services for the entire Gulf Coast
and surrounding areas, including Hattiesburg, Louisiana and Alabama. When GCBC opened in November 2014, there were no such lactation clinics in Mississippi, the state with the second lowest breastfeeding rate in the nation. Mississippi also has the highest obesity, heart disease, diabetes and infant mortality — all
of which research attributes to the lack of human milk consumption by our babies. GCBC
wants to change those statistics by providing evidence-based lactation education prior to delivery and experienced, knowledgeable support following birth should a mother and/ or baby face challenges associated with breastfeeding.
What do you like best about what you do?
I absolutely love to help a mother reach and/ or exceed her breastfeeding goals despite the challenges she has experienced and may face in the future. Those challenges may be lack of milk supply, baby refusing to latch, soreness, going back to work, lack of emotional support, pumping and giving milk from a bottle, tongue tied, etc. Mothers need a resource to help them best find the answers to their individual challenges, questions and/or concerns.
