Thomas and Dana Barrett own Sea Level in Pass Christian, a beach cottage with
a perfect view of the shoreline, where they serve hamburgers, hotdogs, sh tacos, fries, fresh-squeezed lemonade, craft beers and more. The outdoor dining experience is complete with picnic tables and fun activities for the family, from corn hole to hula hooping.
Thomas is a Long Beach native, and Dana is from Ocean City, New Jersey. They’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 34 years. According to Thomas, “working with family, the people we meet, and mentoring our staff,” makes working in the business worthwhile.
The Barrett’s say their success is due to two main ingredients: dedication and
hard work. Thomas offers this advice to anyone wishing to pursue a career in the restaurant industry: “Be passionate about it,” he said. “There are long hours, and the work does not stop after leaving the building. Be consistent.”
