In addition to linens and other fabrics, Apex has a long list of rental items including aisle runners, arches, arbors, columns, lighting, cake
and cupcake stands, candelabras, dishware, glasses, chairs, tables, bars, warmers, serving pieces and much more.
There have been highs and lows but the Bucks have persevered. The most recent low was a fire a few weeks
ago at their 30th Avenue location. However, the operation has continued without missing a beat. The family
is appreciative of the local support they’ve received and plan to be back at
their regular location in a few weeks. “The fire really jammed up our
products. We lost the washers and dryers and are doing everything off site and at the owners’ house,” Donald said. “We’ve had a lot of good vibes coming our way from the community since the fire.”
The fire has given the business
an opportunity to rebuild and reorganize the operation. They’re also replenishing their many products and fabrics.
Normally the Apex team can output an order as quickly as a day. However,
with the current situation they need a week or two to make sure customers are satisfied.
Being locally owned and a part of the Coast community is important to the Buck family. “We try to
buy locally as much as possible, including fabric,” Donald said.
Jeffrey Buck, along with his family, has not only developed a special niche in the linen market, he is doing what he loves best. “I was born to do linen. I’m good at it and love it,” he said.
