Biscuits. One of the most vehemently Southern staples in the food stratosphere. A small, simple combination of humble ingredients that come together, creating something warm, remarkable and utterly delicious. Treasured and revered as a fundamental addition
to any breakfast fare, biscuits are anything but pretentious. In their purest form, they serve as a vehicle for the most delightful selections of jams and jellies. However, a small, coastal greenhouse is turning these small lumps of dough into something much, much more.
The Greenhouse on Porter and The Greenhouse Biloxi, co-owned and operated by friends, Kait Sukiennik and Jesse Zenor, have both become go-to spots for amazing biscuits and
deliciously rich coffee. Sukiennik
had long enjoyed making and selling jam when she realized she needed an appealing and resourceful way to serve it. Zenor, on the other hand, was a lover of all things coffee and enjoyed the way you could essentially “travel” to new places through different beans and roasts.
When selecting a menu for their new endeavor, biscuits and coffee were simply a natural fit. The Greenhouse on Porter opened in January 2015
as a place where Sukiennik and Zenor could share their love of food with their friends while providing a community sanctuary for arts, music and fellowship. Following the success of The Greenhouse on Porter and fueled by a desire to expand their menu and skills, Sukiennik and Zenor
