Jill Smith Named General Manager of The Rack House

After almost a decade with the Gulf Coast Restaurant Group, Gulf Coast native Jill Smith has been promoted to the general manager of The Rack House Steaks & Spirits. The Gulf Coast Restaurant Group is the parent company of Rack House Steaks & Spirits, Half Shell Oyster House, and a variety of other restaurants along the Coast.
After starting at Half Shell Oyster House as a server, Smith worked her way up until she reached the general manager position at the location in Hard Rock, and now
at Rack House Steaks & Spirits. Smith is a part of an all-female management team dedicated to bringing all their customers a high-quality experience. She has high hopes that the name Rack House will become synonymous with an elevated casual dining experience thanks to their hand cut meats, unique dishes, hand crafted cocktails, and impressive bourbon inventory.
While Smith’s dedication to her job is obvious, she is also passionate about animal rescue, and enjoys shooting pool in her free time.

Gordon Redd, Jr., president and owner of Redd Pest Solutions, has been honored by receiving the 2020 MPCA Hall of Fame award from the Mississippi Pest Control Association (MPCA). Having been serving the Gulf Coast community since 1973, Redd has won many other awards over the years for his dedication to his job and the Coast.
Founded in 1946, Redd Pest Solutions has become known for their exceptional service to their customers and the
Gulf Coast as a whole. Even after 75 years, their goal is still to provide their customers with the highest value of service. The company also contributes to helping the community via donating time, energy, and money to civic, nonpro t, and
educational organizations.
After Gordon Redd, Jr.’s years of
experience, one can see that this accolade is well deserved.
