Kristi has advice for other young couples building their first home. “Be patient with each other and make sure each one’s opinions are heard because it’s a big decision,” she said. “Make sure you’re financially ready and that it’s
a home you can grow into. Also, don’t rush the process.”
Due to their professions, this couple probably had a leg up on building a house. Kristi is an interior designer specializing in kitchen and baths with Inside/Outside, and Brandon is vice president of specialized lending with BancorpSouth Bank.
“We didn’t have a contractor, but being in our professions helped because we know a lot of people, “ Kristi said.
She designed the house with help from Brandon’s architect brother.
Twins Construction — Julius and Julian Broussard of St. Martin — framed
the house and suggested other sub contractors. The Webbs remembered
to include lots of storage space and an upstairs bonus room for future family growth.
The name of the wall color used throughout is ‘weathered white’
with lots of gray accents. “I wanted everything neutral and soft because I deal with so much color at work,” Kristi said. “Home should be soothing and restful.”
