ANDREA “ANDI” WILKES- JONES OF COVINGTON, LA., for her vintage jewelry made with buttons. Wilkes-Jones has been taking her
unique jewelry – called The Brass Button and Chained Mail – on the road for around 30 years. The 2015 Peter Anderson festival had its challenges because of the rain, especially when she opened her double size booth on Sunday and found one side collapsed. All she had was a roll of paper towels to dry off everything.“I was ready to throw in the proverbial paper towel,” she said. The award has rejuvenated her creative efforts.
