Circle of Red is an elite group of women who come together to promote the mission and serve as advocates of the American Heart Association locally and lend their influence and efforts to keeping the movement in the forefront of consciousness.

The mission of this new event is to
improve the health of women on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Co-chairs are Helen Werby and John Folding.
“The purpose of the event will be
to not only educate women on the importance of their own heart health, but the role women can play in helping reduce cardiovascular disease and stroke in their homes, places of business and communities,” Werby said. “In addition, the event will be just plain fun! There will be glitz,
movement to raise awareness of heart disease in women. Go Red celebrates the energy, passion, and power that we have to band together and wipe out heart disease and stroke, the number one and number five killers of both women and men in America.
Sponsors of the Party with a Purpose include Ingalls Shipbuilding, Singing River Health System, Dressed in Blue, Polished, and Coast Radio Group.
