  sauce. Additional starters include the totopos, with fresh tortilla chips, queso, house-made salsa, guacamole and salsa verde; house-made guacamole; and queso fries with a house-made cheese sauce. In fact, much of what’s served at Tequila’s is made in-house, with the seafood and produce locally sourced.
Better than standard nachos are the Tequila’s stackers made with either grilled chicken, grilled shrimp or braised short rib, which is the stacker we greedily, well, unstacked. The dish features house-made potato chips, topped with the tasty short rib pieces, buffalo cream cheese, Cotija, jalapeños, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion. Dive in again and again and you’ll pull up a chip with a different flavor mix,
each just as good as the last. The stackers can be shared, but don’t worry, we won’t tell if you keep it all for yourself.
With choices ranging from seafood to beef, taco enthusiasts are also sure to find something tasty to enjoy — we sure did, starting with the fish tacos with grilled mahi and a citrus marinated purple cabbage. We also enjoyed the carne asada taco filled with grilled steak that was flavorful and tender, cheese, cilantro, fried onions, peppers and pico. Served on soft flour tortillas, the tacos come two to a serving.
Other taco selections available are shrimp, chicken fajita and ground beef.
Tequila’s also serves a ground beef taco salad and a Southwestern chicken salad, both just right for a crisp, cool
summer meal.
Plus, dig into the short rib
quesadilla (made with the same tasty short rib as the stacker) with jalapeños and Cojita cheese, or have a fajita made of marinated chicken, grilled steak or Gulf shrimp and then piled high with Spanish rice, grilled peppers,
