MISSISSIPPI — Looking for something special to do on Father’s Day? Why not treat Dad to a wonderful meal at his favorite casino? Or, take him out to play blackjack, give him a chance to win a new lawn mower or let him swipe for bonus play. We’ve pulled together just some of the casino excitement happening on or around Father’s Day.
Note that while Father’s Day is Sunday, June 18, some of the events are set for Saturday, June 17. Be sure to check in with the casino for complete information.
Golden Nugget Biloxi
Golden Nugget Biloxi has a $30,000 Father’s Day Blackjack Tournament on Saturday, June 17, and the top prize is $10,000. Tournament registration begins at 11 a.m. with a $100 buy-in. Rebuys are also available for $100 while seats remain available.
Play starts at noon on June 17. For those players who do not advance, six wildcards will be selected at 4:30 p.m. for the wildcard semifinal round, which starts at 5:45 p.m. The semifinal round is at 5 p.m., and the final round is at 6:30 p.m.
Along with the cash prize for the first- place winner, prizes include promo chips for those coming in second through sixth place. The second-place winner will receive $5,000 in promo chips, followed by $3,000 in promo chips for third, $2,000 in promo chips for fourth, $1,500 in promo chips for fifth and $1,000 in promo chips for sixth place. Plus, $250 in promo chips will be paid to each semifinalist not advancing.

to 10 p.m. on June 18

to 2 p.m. Father’s Day brunch features include pork belly Benedict with braised pork belly, poached egg, pepper jelly and Hollandaise on an English muffin; a barbecue pulled-pork breakfast sandwich with honey barbecue sauce, fried egg and pickled jalapeño; and the meat lovers quiche made with ham, sausage, bacon, Pepper Jack cheese and pickled onions.
At Stalla, guests can enjoy the Father’s Day special of wood-roasted venison loin with wild mushroom ragout and Gorgonzola dolce polenta and featured Bulleit Bourbon Smash cocktail. Or, take in a game with Dad at BetMGM Book Bar & Grill, where honey barbecue-glazed baby back ribs served with cowboy beans and Southern coleslaw are $24.
Harrah’s Gulf Coast
Dad could play his cards right to win up to $5,000 in promotional chips in the Father’s Day Blackjack Tournament at Harrah’s Gulf Coast. There is a $100 buy-
in, and registration starts Friday, June 16, and continues Saturday, June 17. The first round starts at noon on June 17 and play
continues through the semi-finals starting at 4 p.m. On Sunday, June 18, a second chance drawing will be held at 11 a.m. for those players who do not advance to the final table. Four winners will be drawn with two winning a spot at the final table and two others each receiving $500 in promotional chips. The final table starts at noon, with prizes paid out immediately after.

Silver Slipper Casino Hotel is showing Dad is a Cut Above in the Father’s Day Giveaway. On June 18, someone will win
a John Deere Z315E ZTrack mower. Players club members are earning entries now through casino play. On the giveaway day, activate entries after 11 a.m. Drawings will take place every half hour from 1 to 5:30 p.m. with winners receiving $100 in Free Slot Play. The grand- prize drawing for the mower is set for 6
