MISSISSIPPI — Memorial Day is Monday, May 27, and to help commemorate the holiday, which has turned into a weekend event, several casinos are holding special promotions and giveaways. Players club members can earn extra points, win free slot play, and enjoy holiday meals and music.

Golden Nugget Biloxi has the $75,000 Memorial Day Giveaway with players club members winning prizes up to $1,500 Free Play.

 GULF COAST — There are many ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, including getting extra points, winning Free Slot Play and cash, and feasting on delicious food and margaritas. Here is a round up of a few of the events on the Sunday, the fifth of May. Find out what your favorite casino is doing for Cinco de Mayo.
Spice up Cinco De Mayo with sizzling Hot Seats at Harrah’s Gulf Coast. On Saturday, May 4, players will be selected every 20 minutes from 3 to 5 p.m. and again from 7 to 9 p.m. to win $100 in Free Slot Play. Then, at 9 p.m., one player will be drawn for the chance to win $500 in Free Slot Play. Players must have their Caesars Reward card properly inserted into the slot machine or given to pit personnel to be eligible to win.
Under the Oak Cafe at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort has Cinco de Mayo specials, including street corn dip ($17). The dip, served with crispy flour tortilla chips, features roasted corn, chili oil and cotija cheese. Also offered on May 5 are three birria beef tacos ($20) served with
chipotle stew dipping broth and horchata sponge cake ($12) with spiked cinnamon- sugar buttercream icing.

At Dockside Deli, located in Beach View Casino, enjoy a frozen $5 margarita on the deck while noshing on mahi-mahi fish tacos or a birria burrito. The mahi-
mahi is served on tortillas topped with jalapeño-lime slaw, mango pico de gallo and cotija cheese. The birria burrito is
a slow-braised beef shoulder in guajillo and arbol chiles, served in a large flour tortilla filled with cilantro, onions, black bean and purple cabbage slaw and street corn relish. This burrito is served with beef consommé for dipping.
Both meal options are available for $19 per person.
C&G Grille celebrates Cinco de Mayo with sizzling chicken fajitas served with guacamole, salsa, and shredded lettuce on a warm tortilla shell. The meal also includes a choice of either Caesar salad, green salad with a choice of dressing, seafood gumbo or the soup of the day all for $17 per person.
The Buffet will be adding some special items for Cinco de Mayo. Beef and bean burritos, chicken enchiladas, Spanish rice and refried beans will be a part of The Buffet’s traditional favorites from the Asian, Southern, and Italian stations. Regular menu pricing all day.
