Beau Rivage fires up cylinders for Cruisin’
BILOXI — South Mississippi goes back in time as streets are lined with classic vehicles and hot rods while sounds of nostalgic music fill the air. It is the 28th Annual Cruisin’ the Coast, Oct. 6-13, a weeklong party known as “America’s largest block party.” The weeklong event is expected to draw a record amount of more than 10,000 vehicles from around the world. Cruisers can showcase their rides along the 30-mile
stretch of beach-side highway connecting a number of venues showcasing live music, car shows, swap meets and vendors.
What began in 1996
with 374 registered cars to
last year’s record-breaking 10,070 registered vehicles from the United States, Canada and England, Cruisin’ the
Coast has grown to become Mississippi’s largest special event and was voted Best
Car Show Competition in the U.S. by readers of USA TODAY the past
four years.
