  Island View Coast Candymakers
No tricks, just treats this October at Island View Casino Resort. The confectioners at Coast Candymakers always have something for that sweet fang, um, sweet tooth, but throughout the month, guests can choose from all sorts of decorated Halloween- themed candies and cookies. Coast Candymakers, open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 7 p.m., is located just behind Beach Blvd. Steamer. Sweets are also available daily, from noon to 8 p.m., at Sweet Stop located inside Island View
Casino.
   Terre Rouge is special wine at Palace dinner
 BILOXI — Those who like good food and enjoy good wine will want to visit Palace Casino Resort for the Terre Rouge wine dinner. Held in Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood and featuring five gourmet courses paired with Terre Rouge and Easton wines, the dinner is set for Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.
The meal
starts with a crab
cake with fried
green tomato,
red pepper
and sweet corn
puree paired
with Terre
Rouge Vin Gris
d’Amador Rose.
The second course, paired with Easton Sauvignon Blanc, is a fall harvest soup featuring apple, rutabaga, squash, candied pecans and whipped goat cheese.
The first entrée is Ora King salmon served with pecan wild rice pilaf and fried spinach. A Terre Rouge Tête-à-Tête is the featured wine with this course.
Savor a Terre Rouge Syrah with the second entrée, a Delmonico steak, shoestring sweet potato fries, shiitake mushroom and Bordelaise sauce.
For dessert, indulge in a panna cotta, a classic custard, paired with Easton Zinfandel.
The wine dinner is $119 per person. Limited seating is available, so make reservations by calling (228) 432-8888. Reservations can also be made through OpenTable.com.
