Earth Day perfect time for Beau Rivage clean up
BILOXI — Beau Rivage partnered with local groups in April for two Earth Day clean ups. First, the Biloxi resort worked with Mississippi Power and the Department of Marine Resources for the Annual Deer
Island Clean Up. And
three days later,
Beau Rivage teamed
with the City of
Biloxi and the Biloxi
Shuckers baseball
team to clean up
around the resort.
On Earth Day, April 22, nearly 200 volunteers, including more than 50 from Beau and many from other coast casinos, helped collect more than a ton of trash and debris to keep the barrier island beautiful. Over the past 15 years, Beau Rivage has sponsored the event, during which time more
than 15 tons of debris have been removed from Deer Island.
As a part of Earth Day festivities, more than 100 volunteers, including several
Shuckers players and
60 Beau employees, friends, and family, collected over 250 pounds of
trash and debris on the beachfront near resort and in downtown Biloxi.
The annual cleanups are among Beau Rivage’s many sustainability initiatives, which include recycling cardboard, oil, and oyster shells, as well as restoring reefs.
Beau Rivage employees participated in two Earth Day clean ups in April. The team members were part of the Deer Island Clean Up and also picked up trash on the beachfront near the property.
