Casinos ready to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary
MISSISSIPPI — Put on your stars and stripes, dust off your red, white and blue and get ready to celebrate this America’s semiquincentennial, the nation’s 250th anniversary. Independence Day is Saturday, July 4 — perfect for a long holiday weekend. Some casino events begin before the holiday gets here, while others take place on the Fourth itself. Still more continue throughout the month. Guests will find giveaways, gift, kiosk games and, of course, even fireworks.
Here are just some of the Fourth of July happenings.

Harrah’s Gulf Coast
Harrah’s Gulf Coast has an Independence Day weekend filled with Free Slot Play and credit multipliers. The Fast Free Play Drawings take place July 3-4. Starting Wednesday, July 1, players club members can earn one entry for every 25 tier credits earned through 9:45 p.m. on July 4.
On July 3, one winner will be selected every 20 minutes from
6 to 9:40 p.m. to win $1,000 in Free Slot Play. Winners will have three minutes to claim their prize at the special events alcove. If the winner does not show up, the prize will roll over to the finale drawing at 10 p.m. At that time, one winner will be selected to win
$1,000 Free Slot Play and any unclaimed prizes from previous drawings.
On July 4, one winner will be selected every 20 minutes from 2 to 6 p.m. to win $1,000 in Free Slot Play. Again, winners will have three minutes to claim their prize, otherwise the prize will roll over to the finale drawing at 10 p.m. when one winner will be selected to win $1,000 Free Slot Play and any unclaimed prizes from previous drawings.
All entrants are eligible for the 10 p.m. finale drawings.
The 5X Tier Credit Multiplier takes place the first week in July. From July 1-7, players club members may swipe their card at the special events kiosk
to activate their five-times tier credit multiplier. Maximum tier credits uploaded may not exceed 20,000.
And guests can watch the Biloxi Independence Day fireworks show from the Great Lawn, located across from the casino. The fireworks begin at 9 p.m. and the Great Lawn is a great place to catch all the
excitement.
