Take Mom out for special Mother’s Day meal
MISSISSIPPI — Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11, and one way to show Mom some love is to take her out for a meal. And whether your mother figure is your mom, your stepmom, your mother-in-law, your wife, your sister, even your father or your best friend — well, whoever that person is, they are sure to feel pampered with a Champagne brunch, a festive lunch or a holiday dinner.
That’s where casinos come in. The chefs at your favorite casino have been working hard to cook up something special for the day.
For those restaurants suggesting reservations, make them soon. You don’t want Mom (not to mention, the rest of the family) to miss out. Just for a reminder, Mother’s Day is May 11, which is when all of these specials are available.
Island View Casino
Make Mother’s Day memorable with dining specials at Island View Casino Resort. The Buffet, C&G Grille, and Dockside Deli all have specials on May 11. Dining guests must be at least 21.
The Buffet ($27.99), located in Island View Casino, will honor Mom with a feast fit for a queen from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dine on sliced lamb roast, grilled tournedos of tenderloin with Bearnaise sauce; orange chicken, grilled salmon and crabmeat-stuffed fried shrimp, as well as all the traditional favorites from the Asian, Southern, and Italian stations. And for the finale, don’t forget the house-made gelatos, custards and ice creams from the area’s largest dessert bar.
C&G Grille will also mark the special day with a bountiful brunch ($26) served from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The meal begins with a choice of Caesar salad, green salad or shrimp and crab bisque. Choose an entrée of either low- and slow-smoked pork tenderloin or crispy catfish Oscar. Plus, there is chocolate cake for dessert.
Located in Beach View Casino,
Dockside Deli will have a special Mother’s Day menu ($24) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Begin with a choice of seafood gumbo or fruit salad. For the entrée, choose either Gulf
Coast blue crabmeat omelet topped with hollandaise sauce and asparagus; or slow-roasted sliced lamb roast with potatoes, fresh vegetables and a rich brown sauce. Don’t forget the dessert: strawberry cheesecake.
Beau Rivage
The restaurants at Beau Rivage
have special offerings for Mother’s Day, May 11. BR Prime has its annual Mother’s Day Brunch ($95), 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with an expansive presentation of classic Sunday brunch offerings, as well as bottomless Bloody Marys, Mimosas and Champagne.
Salt & Ivy offers a three-course Mother’s Day prix fixe special ($57), along with its weekend brunch, served all day from 11 a.m. to midnight. Begin with the choice of appetizer, tomato tart with pimento cheese or PB&J crostini with pork belly, raspberry gastrique, and peanut gremolata on brioche. For the main dish, enjoy sea bass. Cheesecake is the featured dessert.
The Mother’s Day feature at Stalla is available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is beer-battered mostarda-stuffed tiger shrimp ($18). For an entrée, savor grilled swordfish with charred Sicilian eggplant caponata ($48). Top off the meal with a hazelnut and blueberry tart ($12).
Coraline’s offers a Mother’s Day special of seared Arctic char with citrus asparagus risotto and strawberry jalapeño relish ($52). The specials is available 4:30 to 10 p.m.

Hard Rock
Hard Rock Biloxi is hosting a special Mother’s Day buffet ($35.99) on May 11. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy all the favorites — and more. Diners
can add snow crab for an additional $17.99.
Treasure Bay
Treat Mom to brunch at Treasure Bay on May 11. In the infinity buffet, a special holiday meal featuring carved ham, smoked sausage, baked flounder and shrimp and grits will be served. Plus, indulge in crab legs, lobster and crawfish along with a variety of breakfast favorites. Be sure to save room for one of the many desserts. Mother’s Day brunch is served 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. ($43.19) or enjoy brunch without crab ($25.49). Both prices are with players club card.
The Den is also hosting Sunday Brunch on Mother’s Day. Enjoy a three- course prix fixe menu ($55) featuring a few of the chef’s favorite entrées: crab au gratin, six-ounce filet, and shrimp and grits, each served with soup or salad and dessert, including a complimentary glass of champagne. Palace Casino Resort
Celebrate Mother’s Day at Palace Casino Resort where both the Palace Buffet and Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood have special meals.
In the buffet ($38 with players club card, $40 without), a holiday menu featuring all Mom’s favorites plus selections from the Grill, Comfort, Wok and Coastal stations will be offered. The buffet is served 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (The
