‘Year of the Horse’ gallops in with style
GULF COAST — Chinese New Year, also referred to as Lunar New Year, is Tuesday, Feb.
17. This year is the
Year of the Horse,
specifically the Fire
Horse. In Chinese
culture, horses are
said to represent
energy, success, and
moving forward —
good news for casino players.
Several Mississippi casinos have events, including giveaways and lion dances, planned to help celebrate this special time of year. Be sure to check the days of the events, as not all are on Feb. 17.

Experience a live celebration of the Lunar New Year at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort with a lion dance. The dance takes place in the hotel lobby on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m.

Palace Casino Resort
Palace Casino Resort has the $10,000 Year of the Horse Table Game Giveaway on Friday, Feb. 20. Table game players are earning entries now with one entry given for every hour of rated table game play at a $10 average bet or equivalent. Get two-times entries each Tuesday. One Feb. 20, visit the kiosk for drawing
check in after 6:30 p.m. From 7 to 10:30 p.m., a total of 42 winners will be selected at random times to share $10,000 in Table Play. At 10:30 p.m., two winners will each receive

Beau Rivage
Beau Rivage is celebrating the Year of the Horse with a traditional lion dance on Sunday Feb. 1. Held
in the hotel atrium, the lion dance takes place at 7:15 p.m., prior to the 8 p.m. Chúc Xuân Asian Show in the Beau Rivage Theatre. Believed to bring prosperity and good fortune for the upcoming year, the family friendly lion dance is free and open to the public, while tickets to the concert

Lunar New Year displays designed to celebrate and honor
Asian culture can be found throughout the property. Guests will be greeted at the lobby entrance by a majestic horse surrounded by giant gold coins and
foo dogs, symbols of strength, power, and protection. There are also 12-foot-tall lighted cherry blossom trees adorning the atrium, with red satin lanterns hanging overhead. The atrium gardens are filled with 2,000 pots of yellow chrysanthemums, monstera, dracaena, and Chinese
evergreen plants.
And in the casino, players can win
a share of $150,000 in the Scorching Stallions Baccarat Drawing Series. The series features three drawings in which 10 winners will
be selected at
9 p.m. to each
receive $5,000 in
TablePlay. The
first drawing was held in January, with upcoming drawings set for Sundays, Feb. 22 and March 29.
MGM Rewards players will earn 10 virtual entries for every hour of rated
baccarat play during the earning period. The top 10 baccarat players during each earning period will receive 25 bonus entries into the drawings. Guests must activate electronic entries on each drawing day at any MGM Rewards Kiosk between 10 a.m. and 8:50 p.m. to be entered in the drawing.
Entrants must be present to win.
Golden Nugget
The Year of the Horse Baccarat Series at Golden Nugget Biloxi has players winning prizes on a weekly and monthly basis. Players club members can earn entries weekly by playing at baccarat table
games only. Receive one entry for every 20 tier credits earned. Each
Monday, one winner will be selected to receive $800 in their choice of
Table Bets or Free Slot Play.
Winners do not have to be present
to win, but they must claim their prize no later than midnight the following Monday. Entries do not carry over week to week, but they do carry over for the monthly Saturday drawings.
The first monthly drawing is set for Saturday, Feb. 28. After 5 p.m., activate all entries earned since Dec. 29, 2025, by earning an additional 20 tier credits playing baccarat. From 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., 20 winners will be selected at random times to win Table Bets. At 10 p.m., two winners will be selected to each win $2,500 in Table Bets. All entrants must be present to win.
And on Saturday, Feb. 21, there is the $25,000 Baccarat Money Tree. Players are earning entries now. On Feb. 21, activate all entries after 9 p.m. by earning one additional entry playing baccarat. From 10:30 p.m.
to midnight, 17 winners will get up to $1,500 cash, while one winner will take home $10,000 cash.
