FINAL SAY
TINA
ROSS-SEAMANS
Executive Director, Biloxi Bay Area Chamber of Commerce
As a proud Biloxi native, I have spent my entire career championing the charm and vitality of Coastal Mississippi.
My journey began right after graduating from Biloxi High School, as a pool attendant selling Panama Jack suntan products at the Biloxi Beach Resort Hotel. When the summer was coming to an end, the general manager asked what my plans were. Well, look for another job was my answer. He offered me a job working at the front desk and that was my launch into Hospitality and Tourism Marketing.
I quickly developed a passion for connecting people to experiences, showcasing our Coast’s unique culture, and welcoming visitors with genuine Southern hospitality. From my role at the front desk, I quickly rose through the ranks to become Director of Sales & Marketing, driven by a passion for promoting Biloxi and the Coast as a premier tourist destination.
After more than two decades in the tourism industry, I transitioned into the chamber world, where I have served as executive director of the Biloxi Bay Area Chamber of Commerce (BBACC) for nearly 18 years. My mission is simple yet powerful: to create meaningful connections, foster a fun and caring environment, and help Chamber members with successful networking events and community engagement.
To me, the BBACC isn’t just an organization—it’s family. I take immense pride in celebrating business milestones, especially when I am there with the Chamber team to
cut the ribbon and mark a new chapter of success. My loyalty runs deep: if a business isn’t a BBACC member, they’re sure to get a friendly “commercial” before I
leave. Supporting those who support the Chamber is a
core value I live
by. Referrals from members are the ultimate compliment, affirming the Chamber’s impact on our members. Helping people succeed is so important now
more than ever. I want my members
to know that I am here for them when they need anything; whether it’s advice or to brainstorm about an issue they may be having.
As a woman empowered by experience, resilience, and community, I strive to lead by example —to show other women that leadership and kindness can go hand in hand, and that your voice matters in every room you enter. I am very impressed with the dedication and support of our members, many of them small businesses. They are not only surviving but thriving.
Being part of the BBACC has allowed me to turn my passion into purpose. And every day, I wake up grateful
to serve the city and region that raised me, continuing the work of building bridges, creating opportunity, and keeping Coastal Mississippi shining brightly on the map.
Outside of work, I enjoy life with my husband of 28 years, Mark, and our two beloved beagles, L.J. (Lucy Jr.) and Sally. Together, they host friends and family at the “Seamans’ Resort,” where grilling and chilling are always on the menu.
