For this mother-daughter duo, caring for others is more than a profession—it’s a legacy. As CEO and President of Generations Health Care, Avonna and Jennifer Cain lead three thriving senior living communities on the Mississippi Gulf Coast: The Homestead Assisted Living, Greenbriar Nursing Center, and Azalea Gardens Nursing Center.
Avonna, the owner and CEO of Generations Health Care, is a licensed administrator with 43 years of experience and has long been a pillar in the industry and her community.
A 2025 Forever Young Award recipient and active member of the Beach Garden Society, she believes, “When you lead with compassion, everything else falls into place.”
Jennifer, a licensed administrator, brings 12 years of experience, a sharp business mind, and a deep commitment to service. She serves as President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Ocean Springs, sits on the board for United Way of South Mississippi, and is a recent graduate of Leadership Gulf Coast. Jennifer shares, “We complement each other. She brings wisdom and experience, I bring strategy and vision, and together, we’ve created a culture centered on truly caring for people.”
