HANCOCK CHAMBER UNVEILS LEGACY BENCHES PROJECT
A project developed by a leadership program in Hancock County promises to have a lasting community impact.
The Hancock Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Leadership Hancock County members spearheaded the Legacy Bench program. The class led and organized the project and then spent countless hours overseeing the bench installations
at 11 locations throughout Hancock County. In July, dedications and ribbon cuttings unveiled the inaugural program, which will now be an ongoing chamber project.
The thought behind the program was to provide a relaxing place for residents and visitors alike who visit the beautiful beachfront or dine in local restaurants to sit and chat while highlighting and honoring community members with a dedication plaque.
The leadership class is for young professionals looking to make a difference in their community and to meet like-minded people. Participants become part of a growing network of leaders with motivation, a sense of commitment, and the opportunity to become change agents for the betterment of Hancock County.
