The 28th annual Artwalk in Downtown Ocean Springs unites artists and art lovers this Labor Day Weekend and will be held on Saturday, August 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This yearly event is hosted by the Ocean Springs Merchant Association and brings together a variety of artists, including potters, painters, sculptors and mixed media artists.
“Artwalk Downtown Ocean Springs partners artists with local businesses to bring together creative commerce,”
says Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cynthia Dobbs Sutton. “You’ll see artists set up on the sidewalks of local boutiques, galleries and restaurants throughout downtown Ocean Springs.”
The Artwalk gives spectators the opportunity to watch artists in
action while shopping for local art, eating and drinking at more than 30 restaurants, and mingling with locals and tourists alike.
“Ocean Springs is a vibrant city of
artists, and this event really shows what our city is all about,” says Sutton. “Artwalk is a perfect fit for Ocean Springs.”
The event is free to attend, but you may not be able to leave without a new piece of local art! Artwalk will take place rain or shine.
