Be Flexible
Roll with the punches and force yourself to make decisions and changes that are needed to adapt. The ones that can adapt to the changing environment are the same ones that  nd opportunity during times of adversity.
Communicate Judiciously, Not Continuously
Communicating for the sake of communicating does not help anyone, it only dilutes the real message. Be sure not to take on too much new technology when communicating just because we are in a crisis. Communication is communication.
Be Authentic
Having uncertainty is okay, but there is nothing worse than a leader pretending to have all the answers. You want to be in the crowd, but be a head above the crowd. Encourage people by example and manage yourself so you can lead your people.
Perspective
The  rst job of leading with the right perspective is to  nd reality and not get caught up emotionally in the crisis. Leaders give the right perspective during a crisis, not the right answers. They remind themselves, even during the good times, that this too shall pass.
Battling Distractions During a Crisis
Nothing will cause more anxiety than trying to control something that cannot be controlled.
Crisis is a distraction. It pulls us away from our life focus and towards something else. Leaders will experience many things but the following three are very common:
Mind Wandering: Thinking about what could happen instead of focusing on what is happening. Stinking Thinking: Feeling as if everything that could go wrong is going wrong. >>
