I wouldn’t call this an introduction, but then again, I’m not quite sure what to call it. It’s not often that a writer is lost for words, but here’s what I can say: I am happy to be here, and proud to tell the many vibrant and positive stories of South Mississippi.
You may have seen my byline in the magazine before
– I’ve been writing for South Mississippi Living for about three years now. During my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to get involved in a little bit of everything. From graphic design to writing and sales (which I ended up not being particularly gifted at), I enjoyed it all.
Truthfully, I’ve grown up around publishing. Ever since I was born, I’ve seen my parents work hard to produce the best quality publications, and I’ve looked up to them for putting so much of themselves into their products. My parents, Mary and Michael Sunderman,
are the publishers of this magazine, and I am so thankful to them for teaching me the ropes and for giving me an opportunity to grow here.
Of course, I’ve had a lot of help along the way. Each one of the employees here at M2 Media has taken the time to teach me all about their role and
given me to tools to succeed. Their support means so much to me.
