WHO: Michael C. Hester, J.D.
Michael C. Hester, a sole practitioner for over 28 years, and
a former judge in various municipal courts, including Long Beach and Gulfport, graduated from Memphis State University with a juris doctorate after working offshore for over 15 years. Following law school, Hester returned to his home town of Long Beach, where he practices criminal defense, personal injury and family law.
He was featured in Lawyer’s Weekly USA, the nation’s most widely circulated legal publication, for winning an alienation of affection case which returned a $50,000 jury verdict against a wealthy doctor for stealing the wife of Hester’s client.
Recently, after trial in federal court, Hester won a not guilty jury verdict in USA vs. Hawkins wherein the federal government
charged Hester’s client, a former Pass Christian police of cer, with illegally selling weapons.
Hester is dedicated to the practice of law and serving those
in his community. Fighting the overwhelming resources of the government, as well as multi-national insurance companies when representing his clients, always makes him the underdog. However, he believes in stopping the “big ones from eating the little ones.”
Hester is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association and the National Ri e Association.
