Attendees at the Pass Christian Starlight Gala
can get a head start on wearing their summer white attire. The April 21 event is sponsored
by the Pass Christian Boys & Girls Club and everyone is encouraged to wear their casual whites, according to organizers. From 7 till 10
p.m. there will be dancing to the music of South at the Pass Christian Yacht Club. All proceeds benefit the Pass Christian Boys & Girls Club.
“Also, we will have grand food, a full open
bar and a silent and live auction for $125 all inclusive,” Publicity Chairman Cathy Kahn said. “And it’s good to know it will help children of our area.”
The fundraiser was formerly called A Shore Thing for Kids. “Although the name has changed, it’s still a wonderful evening of fun for a worthy cause,” Yacht Club Manager Clark Brennan said. “You just need to bring your dancing shoes and come support the cause. The children of Pass Christian benefit greatly from this fundraiser. It enables us to have the means to educate children in so many ways and prepare them to be good citizens as they approach adulthood.”

No, your eyes don’t deceive you! The Coast is seeing green again, not for St. Patrick’s Day but for Shamrockin’ the Coast, St. Patrick Catholic High School’s annual fundraiser.
This year’s event will be held at Golden Nugget Biloxi on April 21 from 7-11 p.m. Now in its eleventh year, Shamrockin’ the Coast continues
to raise necessary funds to provide St. Patrick students with essential technology and curriculum enrichment.
“This fun event features delicious food and drinks, live music by Bag of Donuts, and enticing auction items,” said Erin Rosetti, director of public relations and advancement at St. Patrick. New Orleans- based quartet Bag of Donuts is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2018. The band recently added a new horn section as part of its self-described ‘ultimate showmanship, visual ingenuity, professional musicianship and entertainment.’
Tickets are available for purchase by phone or online for $100 per couple. Discounts are available for alumni of St. Patrick, Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, St. John and Mercy Cross schools.
