St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway
Drawing tickets expected to sell out
story by Lynn Lofton photos courtesy of Elliott Homes
Tickets are expected to sell out for this year’s St. Jude Dream Home with the drawing held on April 12. The craftsman-style home is located in the Malpass West development
in Biloxi and was built by Elliott Homes. The $100 tickets make ticket holders eligible to win the home and other prizes.
“The home includes high ceilings, an outdoor kitchen and fireplace, a huge screened back pork and a front
porch,” Brandon Elliott said. “It
has six bedrooms and three baths in 3,299 square feet of liveable space.”
The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway was created in 1991 by Dr. Donald Mack, a pediatric physician from Shreveport, La. He has relied on St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to treat young patients with catastrophic diseases and was the first doctor to send an out-of- state patient to St. Jude. The Dream
Home Giveaway is one of the largest single-event fundraisers for St. Jude nationwide and has raised more than $290 million. This year, the program will include more than 30 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaways and will continue to grow.
