In honor of its many healthcare heroes, Memorial Hospital hosted a special presentation on Friday, January 22. Employees from Wallace Window Cleaning rappelled down the main tower of the hospital in superhero attire as a small display of gratitude. Many team members and pediatric patients joined to catch glimpses of the “superheroes” as they traversed down the building.
“Hosting events like this reminds our employees
that they are not forgotten and are critical to the community’s success in overcoming the challenges COVID-19 has presented. Our team continues to rise to meet these challenges and will remain a constant for our community,” said Memorial Hospital Corporate and Community Relations Manager Lauren Clark SantaCruz.
The superhero wall climb was a success, bringing joy to the heroes who serve the community every day.

For more than 20 years, Ocean Springs has been celebrating arts and culture through its seasonal Spring Arts Festival. Now in its 28th year, the festival highlights arts, crafts and colorful orals throughout downtown Saturday, March 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Set among the live oaks of downtown, more than 100 artists, crafters and plant vendors will celebrate spring o ering paintings, pottery, jewelry, plants
and much more,” says Ocean Springs Chamber Executive Director Cynthia Sutton. “Live music, artist demonstrations and educational sessions will be provided by regional artists and gardeners.”
While last year’s festival was postponed due to COVID-19, annual attendees are thrilled to see that the event will take place this year. The Spring Arts Festival is a local favorite, and one that you won’t want to miss.
“Partnering with the local arts community, the festival emphasizes the relationship between community arts and nature,” says Sutton. “The Ocean Springs Art Association and Ocean Springs Fresh Market co-organize this event, hosting a weekend series of artist demonstrations and educational sessions.”
