McFarland earned her real estate license in 1993 and became a broker in 2011. She opened The Real Estate MarketPlace in 2008. She is a past president of the Gulf Coast Association of Realtors and a past president of
the Multiple Listing Service. She has served as chairman of many local realtor committees and served on and presently different state committees.
