The Former Salon Rouge Celebrates a Grand Rebranding

longtime Ocean Springs hair salon is poised to woo all clients, current and future, with
a fresh name, clean, aesthetic look, and a few other exciting changes.
“Everything that grows changes, right?” Said Amber Lord, owner of Haus of Locks on Washington Ave, formally Salon Rouge. “I just feel like this brand fits more of who I am now.”
She opened the original salon 16 years ago and was ready to replace the outdated decor with fresh pastel pinks, clean white hues and dazzling sparkles of gold. The name change was official on January 12 with a rebranding open house.
One of the biggest changes is the addition of Lord’s own hair extension line, Haus of Locks Luxury Extension Collection. Not only will clients no longer need to wait days for extensions to be shipped, neither will other Coast salons.
“It’s been a struggle the last few years to find a brand that has consistent quality and arrives on time for our clients’ installation appointments. If we have struggled with those issues, I know other stylists have too.”
Lord has spent the last few years researching and testing to find the highest grade of human hair available to have for her brand. “I am so excited to not only offer this to our customers at the salon but to salons all over the Gulf Coast and the U.S.”
The extension collection offers three
methods including micro wefts, no residue tape-ins, and the popular DIY halo. Lord also has all the supplies that stylists need for the installation process.
Another addition customers and make-up artists will be excited to see is the salon’s sub brand, Haus of Lashes. The luxury lash collection consists of the popular strip lashes and DIY segment lashes with all the glue and supplies needed to apply them. “They are plant-based, biodegradable, cruelty free and are the most comfortable lashes you will ever wear,” Lord says.
Haus of Locks not only has a new name, but also a new line of extensions. Meaning, clients will no longer have to wait for extensions to be shipped, allowing them to be customized at the salon.
Already a thriving full-service salon and known as the place to go for perfect hair, Haus of Locks will still have the same great stylists behind the chairs, layering up everything their clients have grown to love and expect, such as balayage, haircuts, eyelash extensions, Brazilian blowouts, airbrush spray tanning, makeup, and special occasion styling.
