not only wedding packages but bridal and baby shower packages and also wine tasting parties. We have multiple locations on property for ceremonies,” Ashlei Marie, director of sales and marketing, said. “We can offer a full- service wedding venue and guests can stay here and enjoy the weekend.”
Brides consistently request the spacious bridal suite where brides and brides maids can dress and relax while guests experience the stunning lobby bar. With 46 wine selections available in one-ounce, three-ounce and five- ounce servings, and 15 local and craft beers, there’s something for every palate; cocktails of every variety, from classic to trendy, are also offered. The bar, with comfortable white leather
bar stools, has an inviting atmosphere and relaxed lighting. It’s not surprising that it’s a favorite for nervous grooms before the wedding.
Guests choosing to stay over night will find the tastefully appointed rooms to their liking. Multiple property buyouts in which the entire property — interior and exterior — is dedicated solely to one wedding are
becoming popular. Cora’s Restaurant, the lobby, front lawn and third floor are exclusively reserved for the wedding. Every hotel room is occupied by the wedding party and guests.
With ample banquet facilities, an exercise gym, hot tub, outdoor pool, as well as a poolside snack bar, the White House assures that all of its clients’ desires are met. The bride and groom need never leave the hotel. “People love to make it an all-weekend event here,” Marie said.
The luxury hotel has 76 spacious rooms — 16 of which are suites. Everything possible has been done to create an environment for a pleasant stay. Guests may use the swimming pool which is complete with a pool bar, fire pits, hot tub and stylish outdoor furniture.
Hallways are treated as art galleries with large black and white photos
from the early days of the White House Hotel. Much of the original flooring has been retained and some of the original wood is used as a ceiling in the bar. Details throughout the hotel recall the property’s past. However,
modern technology is also evident with the i-pad technology used at the front desk.
The newlyweds who spend their honeymoon at the White House can easily and happily dine at Cora’s Restaurant with its varied cuisine. The eclectic menu includes Gulf Coast specialties, Gulf Coast Cuisine, and Certified Angus Beef. Romantic couples will also love the section of the restaurant that’s curtained off
for dining in privacy. Cora’s décor is eclectic, with lighting that suggests lanterns suspended from tree branches.
As for those very important wedding photos, the White House has any number of outstanding spots for taking photos. Those spots include
the building’s stunning facade, the mint green 1954 Buick Skylark that’s parked out front, the third level terrace overlooking the beach, the spiral iron staircase that’s original to the structure, and the exquisitely appointed lobby with fireplace to name a few.
Marie recommends that brides book 10 months to a year in advance for weddings at the White House.
The beautifully restored White House Hotel can accommodate any individual’s preference for an elegant event facing the gorgeous Gulf Coast.
